PROJECT COORDINATOR NEEDED
Position: Project Coordinator.
Department: Project.
Location: Riversands Fourways, and Remote.
Closing date: 05 April 2024
Requirements:
- Matric Certificate.
- Certificate, higher certificate, or Diploma in Project Management.
- N5 or N6, a Higher certificate or Diploma in Administration.
- Financial experience or qualification would be advantageous.
- 2 + Years experience in administration.
- 1 -2 years experience in project management.
- 1 – 2 years experience working in a boot camp.
Key responsibilities:
Assist with Upcoming Bootcamps:
- Requesting and gathering quotations for upcoming projects.
- Updating the CFA for each province.
- Collect applicants’ information.
- Calling applicants to confirm acceptance.
- Making transport and flight booking.
- Making accommodation booking (quote, requisitions and follow up with payment).
Obtain competitive quotations for upcoming projects to save costs and plan
effectively. - Manage transportation and flight bookings to ensure timely arrivals for training
events. - Collect and analyze survey data to improve the Water Champions program.
- Document post-meeting notes accurately for future reference.
- Assist in implementing and coordinating support for participants.
- Update monthly and weekly budget and process invoices for the department.
- Submit monthly Project Plan for the water champions department.
- Assist in the recruiting of candidates for the accelerator and water champions
program. - Submit reports related to the Water Champions department
- Perform other ad-hoc tasks requested by management and other departments
- related to Water Champions.
Bootcamps:
- Printing of participation material.
- Collecting of collateral.
- Arranging and ensuring branding material is available for the bootcamp.
- Arrange the launch/handover event with the rest of the team.
- Handing out surveys.
Post- Bootcamp:
- Capturing surveys and M&E data
- Following up on top 4 participants with contracts and other communication as directed by the manager.
- Capture post bootcamp debrief meeting notes.
- Assist in running a 6-month Support Program.
- Collect past Water Champions testimonials and relevant information.

- Leadership Abilities: The capability to lead a team of instructors, mentors, and support staff, providing guidance, motivation, and support throughout the duration of the boot camp.
- Project Management Skills: Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools to oversee the entire lifecycle of the boot camp, from planning and implementation to evaluation and post-program analysis.
- Problem-Solving Skills: The capacity to identify challenges, develop solutions, and make decisions quickly and effectively to ensure the smooth operation of the boot camp.
- Interpersonal Skills: Building and maintaining positive relationships with various stakeholders, including participants, instructors, employers, and sponsors, is crucial for the success of the boot camp.
- Adaptability: The ability to adapt to changing circumstances and requirements, as well as to learn and incorporate feedback to improve the boot camp program continuously.
- Attention to Detail: Being meticulous in managing logistics, tracking participant progress, and ensuring that all aspects of the boot camp run smoothly and according to plan.
- Tech Savvy: Familiarity with technology platforms and tools commonly used in educational settings, such as learning management systems, virtual classrooms, and collaboration software.
- Passion for Education and Skill Development: A genuine interest in helping others learn and grow professionally, as well as a commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the boot camp community.
- Experience in Education or Training: Previous experience in educational program management, instructional design, or curriculum development is highly beneficial for understanding the needs of participants and designing effective learning experiences.
- Budget Management: Ability to manage the budget for the boot camp, including allocating resources efficiently, tracking expenses, and ensuring financial sustainability.
- Evaluation and Assessment: Skill in designing assessment tools and methodologies to measure participant learning outcomes and program effectiveness, as well as using data-driven insights to make informed decisions for program improvement.
